JUHO VAINIO FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES CALL FOR GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR THE YEAR 2012

The Juho Vainio Foundation issues grants for scientific research and activities that promote our nation’s public health – in particular, that concerning healthy exercise, physical education and nutrition beneficial to health as well as the development of healthy lifestyles. In 2012, the Foundation will, more vigorously than previously, support the research work of researchers who have recently defended their doctoral theses with both personal and project grants. Grants may be applied for once annually during the month of October. The application period for grants issued for 2012 shall end 31 October 2011 at 16.00h (Finnish time).

The grant application instructions are available on the Foundation’s website at www.juhovainionsaatio.fi. The application must be completed on the new system for grant admission found here. 

The completed application form is delivered with appendices electronically in the system for grant admissions to the Foundation, whereupon the respective information is transferred to the Foundation’s system for grant admissions. The same completed form must also be printed, signed and delivered along with the appendices prior to the end of the application period to the Foundation's office at the following address:

The postmark for applications delivered must show a date of no later than 31 October 2011. Late applications will not be processed.

Applications sent by telefax or only electronically delivered will not be taken into consideration.
